Forum: prelinger Subject: My fave SVCD

You might have noticed that you can put a number of films on on one disk, regardless if it's VCD, SVCD or DVD. For kicks, I made a "1960 television simulation" disk that goes: Wonderful Ford..Newport #1..Atomic Power at Shippingport 1 and 2..Good Luck Margarine..GE Blender..Klear Floor Wax..and Fischer's Training Table Bread. On an SVCD, unlike DVD, my machine runs them together without any pauses like television. You could author them as one file if they have to be DVD quality. Note: the GE Blender has to have its sound boosted about 200-300% to be audible and match the other films.
Also, if Shippingport is too dull, try Atomic Energy as a Force for good 1 and 2 (has a Twilight Zone vibe to it).
If anyone has experimented with playlisting the various films, I would love to see what you came up with!

Here's how to keep a Prelinger fan in suspense..
Highway Hearing part one starts out like a projected film... there's about five minutes of yatta yatta.. they all go into a meeting room and dim the lights to watch a film. Cut the thing right there and have it start over! Hey, they're watching "Highway Hearing"!! LOL
